LONDON SCHOOL OF JEWISH STUDIES This exciting course explores four kings from the Tenach in more detail, analysing their characters and stories from a historical, philosophical and psychological perspective, and giving you the opportunity to learn about important and lesser-known biblical characters. The course will be run by LSJS scholars, and each week a new king will be presented by a different speaker. 11 November
RABBI WARREN KAYE Rabbi Warren Kaye is the Rav Shaliach of Bnei Akiva. He has a BA from Jew’s College and an MA from Touro College. After ten years in Yeshivat HaKibbutz HaDati, received semicha from the Chief Rabbinate in Israel. He has served in the IDF as a Rabbi, taught in WUJS, and is an active member of Tzohar. 18 November
DEBBIE MEYER Debbie Meyer has a degree in Law from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and qualified as a solicitor both in Israel and the UK. She is a graduate of the LSJS Susi Bradfield Women Educators programme.
KING AHAB RABBI JEREMY BRUCE Rabbi Jeremy Bruce received semicha from Yeshivat Hamivtar (Brovender’s) and taught at Immanuel College until September, when he took up a new job as Assistant Head of King Solomon High School.
KING JOSIAH JACQUELINE NICHOLLS Jacqueline Nicholls is an artist, writer and educator and has displayed her work in Israel, UK and Sweden. She studied at Nishmat College in Israel and the Byam Shaw School of Fine Arts in London. She is a graduate of the LSJS Susi Bradfield Educators programme. |
